... area. The bus ride there was hair-raising, wall to wall people and the bus driver taking the hairpin turns at Mach 4 down ridiculously steep hills. New brake pads required at the end of that trip! We paid $20 for a local speedboat to jet us across the bay to a natural pool protected by a series of giant boulders, couple of the local dogs were doing laps here too! ... over the space of ten years before being found dead at the base of the stairs that made him famous, in what the cops called "an unfortunate self immolation incident" ,pretty grim.

... cable car (which is really cheap for students) and it was amazing! Rio is such a beautiful city and the weather was amazing so we could see miles.
We stayed up there, watched the sun set and the lights of the city come on. This was definitely worth it!
Had food at a pizzeria near the hostel, then went for a walk along Atlantic Av. which was great.
