    Tuesday 21 July - What a wonderful sleep! Warm and snug in our rooftop tent and not too much waking up during the night. We had an early start and left camp at 8am opening odometer 96310.     I decided to spend the weekend in Upington. This is a town of extremes... I went to the airport Saturday and the temperature was 31 deg C and the humidity was 12%, which is really low.
    It has the longest runway in Africa at 4.9km. OR Tambo Intl airport's longest runway is around 4.3km. The space shuttle can land here.
