Today I was thrown into the deep end. Crissie picked us up from the hall and told me I was driving to Lamontville, so without hesitation I jumped in the drivers seat and told everyone they had to wear their seat belts when I was driving! We drove half hour to Lamontville School to do another class of brain gym. And again I was thrown into the deep end and ran the class of 40 kids around the age of 5. We sang a welcome song which goes 1, 2, 3, ...

The last 15 kms seemed to go on forever. There were still some steep hills and people kept screaming “LAST CLIMB LAST HILL”. It seriously is not cool when you lie to runners like that. After the first 2 “last hill” calls – I stopped believing the people and just paced myself on the up hills.

I understand there's a process, I didn't really take part in the "process" when we first applied, in hindsight I'm grateful that others helped us out and took charge of a lot of it, we just got the approval message and that was it, we were going to Africa! The process to stay a second year has not been so smooth. It frustrates me, from where ...

... been stuck with no food!

Once home we caught the last of the sunshine on the beach front which was only about 50 metres from the hostel. Not for the first time would we wish it was just a little bit warmer so we could enjoy the beautiful beaches. It didn’t really matter though as we were entertained by the surfers as they worked the big waves coming in and we chatted to one of a number of fishermen that were trying to collect ...
