... I was a bit of a pussy again and went for a shorter one. I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that I'm not a great rock jumper! Although in my defence it's never the height that's the issue its the rock clearing that scares me! Jack was also offered to do the very highest jump which not many people can do, he did it and bossed it. I'm glad he didn't get hurt obviously, that's a given, but I'm feeling uncomfortable that he's much better than i am. ...

... Backpackers. Chosen arbitrarily, it turns out that I probably made the wrong choice. Yes it's a bit nicer than the other places I stayed, and yes I have an 8 bed dorm to myself, but the owner and staff seem a bit up themselves. I feel out of place by owning a rucksack, let alone walking boots and unwashed clothes. Thankfully though, I can move on fairly quickly. ... unless there are kids in the group and then Thandi wants to eat them but she knows we won’t let her. Luckily when it came to the evening walk I was with these 2. Crystal wasn’t so lucky and went with Zeus and Gabriel who are only 18 months old so very playful and naughty still. She came back with a massive rip in her trousers but thankfully nothing worse. They need more training before I will agree to work with them. We plan to mention this.
