Day 8 Port Elizabeth to Plettenburg Bay

Stayed in olde worlde Hume hotel (lift limit of 4!) right opposite the waterfront last night. Unusual sounds of traffic overnight after days of remote locations.

Travel day tomorrow as we drive some five or six hours to Shamwari Reserve for our four night stay. Although we have only been here two days we will miss the elephants - these gentle giants get under your skin somehow. One last rainy night sharing their boma and then we are off on a lion hunt (swish,swish,swish).

... up at some ungodly hour by loud crashing noises. We went to see what it was and the pig was trying to get in. We obviously wouldn’t let him in which he didn’t like especially seeing as we had all the dogs in the house (they usually sleep outside) so in protest he ransacked the garden knocking all the potted plants and ornaments over. ... had a number activities available such as tubing down the river , tree top walks and bike rides. That evening was Ross’s 30th birthday . The eveing kicked off with loads of cheese and wine
followed by good pasta dish. We then moved onto sherry and some weird herbel
