This was our first one night stop. We had breakfast in the hotel then parked our luggage in the hotel's luggage room before walking to Legoland. Tom was like a lttle kid – grinning as we explored. Legoland turns out to be a mixture of an adventure park (aimed at smaller children) and stunning displays of Lego structures. Tom declined to go on …

The ferry ride was as smooth as going over. Kurt was waiting at the bottom of the gangway to meet us. He had squeezed a few minutes into his day to be there. When we got to Denmark we got picked up by Folmer and Anna. Folmer looks just like Far Far. They took us straight to Legoland. I loved it there. It had lots and lots of Lego there. I loved the Haunted house and the polar bear roller coaster.

We had a party for Signe and I ate some corn and the dog ate some corn. By the way it was actually cow corn. I picked corn from the fields and had a Corn Company ...

... our fill of walking, the next day we found a nice bike ride to do in a pamphlet. It was very pleasant, through woods with views of mountains and glimpses of the glaciers but the leaflet forgot to mention an important fact. It was bloody hilly! Basically 12km non-stop uphill, with some seriously steep bits. We just about made it though and at least it didn't take us long to get back to the van.
