    Today my family and I visited the port city of Frederecia. The city has been used as the Danish army's first line of defense for centuries during the wars with Sweden.     ... liberated by the British army in April 1945, because the people were in such poor physical condition.
    Then it was onto the autobahn and north to Hamburg to stock up on supplies before crossing into Denmark as we had been told everything was dearer in Scandinavia.

So we turned and backtracked a few streets to park and walked back to the hotel to register, the girl was helpful, she gave us a parking pass and a map of the parking areas we could use. Luckily where we had parked about 250 metres from our hotel was fine. So all we had to do was put her permit in our car window and walked back with our little bags.
