    ... here from coming to Wyoming every fall with my parents, during my grade school days.  My dad hunted game and my mom and I stayed at the dude ranches.     ... used by the Shoshone people. We made a pit stop in Dubois at a gas station. They had an eatery, we picked up a few small pizzas to share, snacks and drinks. The pizza was so good, we couldn't eaten a few more lol. Traveling through Wyoming along the Oregon Trail! It's hot almost 100, endless fields with sagebrush with rolling a hills along either side.     ... have been nicer to have the tower a little closer to the yard area, but I assume security concerns won out on that decision.

    As we passed through Laramie, we did send a special hello to the University on behalf of Roxy. So far, no word back.

    Not a lot else going on. Hope to be into Utah tomorrow, maybe even Idaho.

    ... uphill. I just love SLC with the contrasts...flat land, mountains, city, country and green. On the other side of the mountains we start seeing the ranches and the green hills/mountains and it is such a treat after all the brown in NM, AZ and some of CA. We make it to Parley's Summit at 7250 while still in UT and we are going to level off around 6800 near the border. Luckily I have my altitude app so I can tell at any time how high we are (in altitude not the number of drinks ...

    ... I even spotted a lone white bellied buck grazing just off the highway. Rawlins is fairly uninspiring and appears to be a mining centre. We checked in at the Holiday Inn and have a nice suite including two TVs . Dinner was at Cactus Jack's. I had a 16oz T- bone with hickory pit beans! I love to live dangerously! Now I'm reclining on bed sipping my hot air balloon champagne in a plastic cup and thoroughly enjoying ...
