... with olive trees and vineyards. Any untilled land is covered in wildflowers. It is a beautiful time of year here. There are lots of little villages along the way. The houses vary from very nice stone structures to little more than hovels. It is hard to tell if people actually live in the latter. Zakynthos is an agricultural island making olive oil, olive wood carvings, honey and cotton goods, hand embroidered. We stop at ...

... diesel electric generators which power the ship as well as powering the electric motors in pods external to the ship capable of rotating 360 degrees. The ship has no rudder and no central propellor! Also an explanation of some if the artworks around the ship. Early dinner at Britannia Restaurant and then with a great deal of trepidation we went to the Royal Court Theatre to see the comedian. He ...

... standing. You were supposed to see where the Olympic touch is lit, but we never really saw it. I'm glad we didn't do the tour though because is was very expensive and the people at our dinner table said most of it was in Italian anyways. After walking the ruins we walked into Olympia market place, and had a drink at a cafe to get internet. We had to be back on the ship by 6:30 and are supposed to be headed ...
