Phew, what a day. After overnight rain the temperature in Berlin was a lot cooler than yesterday. That said it was still in low 20s so very pleasant.

Samson and I picked up the car and managed to navigate our way back to the hotel to pick up G&G. We then headed south towards Colditz Castle. The plan was to save time tomorrow and visit Colditz today. Despite getting a reasonable size car we just managed to squeeze all the bags into the boot. we left the hotel by about 11.30am ...

I looked at the name of the stop and I didn’t pass it on the way to the library. I looked at the Tram number and this stop wasn’t for the tram that I took to the library. ... on the screen was H28! I looked at my ticket again and it indicated that there were 87 people ahead of me--so not as bad as it might seem as first. They also had a system so that you could avoid waiting by calling a phone number and entering your customer number. When they were near your number they would send you an SMS message. I simply decided to wait it out. When I finished the time that I had been there was 1 hour and 50 minutes--not good, but it could have been ...

... After a while I learned that he was actually the chairman of the board of directors. He told me that on this Germany tour they had given a concert in Berlin over the weekend and were also going to Cologne before heading home. He also indicated that they had been granted permission to give a short concert at Buchenwald. Proceeds from all of their concerts in Germany will go to support the Buchenwald Memorial Fund. I realized that returning to the S-bahn station would ...
