1 Jahr Südamerika, jetzt ist es fast soweit. Nur noch 3 wochen bis zum Start.<br>Das meiste, bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten, ist erledigt. We got up fairly early and had breakfast, then decided to head back to Paderborn. Claudia drove out of the city and then I drove for a couple of hours. We arrived in Paderborn around 15.00 or so, and went out to do some shopping for food. We swung by the Post Office to send out some postcards, then we hit the grocery store so I could buy some chocolates and things to bring home with me. The day ...

... for our troubles to buy some food, but they didn't tell us that it had to be used all at once. So, about 45 minutes before we were going back in through security, we went to Starbucks. We got some coffee and a hazelnut chocolate muffin (I will just abbreviate fat American from this point on with FA, so the muffin was for the FA), but it only used up about 10 Euros. So we got two bottles of apple juice and a bottle of water ...

... listen you can learn a lot! When the coffee and kuchen is gone, the next course involves serving liqueur or wine or juice with some salty treats. The conversation continues (in our home it was in German and English) until it is time to leave. ... is so great, and filled with people enjoying Bratwurst and beer, mulled-wine and roasted nuts. It is a feast of the senses, and very festive. It is hard not to be swept up in the spirit of the season. Now that I have access to a computer with English commands, I will try posting some photos here. Let me know how it works.
