Luego de un dia bien viajado llegue a Korcula (se pronuncia entre Korchula y Korshula), la supuesta isla de Marco Polo. Me aloje en un hostal que se llama Dragan`s Den, y el dueno se llama Dragan. Realmente es muy divertido, tipico escritor frustrado, lleva 10 anos escribiendo un libro y guion para su propia pelicula, y otro libro de ciencia ficcion (trama en Ecuador), y ademas como que queria inventar una maquina de "dialisis" que pudiera limpiar ...

We actually had a lovely evening in Zadar in fact and even a meal which was simple and affordable, and then the best ice creams the family has had in Europe so far! I of course opted for coffee instead which at about1 Euro was most accessible and delicious.

... really clear where to line up. Finally we poked into a pier area and asomehwat decrepit old guy told us where to park for Stari Grad on Hvar, and then proceeded to wash our windows…. seriously! The only guy available to show us where to line up was the squeegie bum. We did end up being first in line, and eventually 3 or 4 t-shirt guys from the ferry company came along and sat around on a bench watching the confused motorists ...
The Island that never sleeps
... area - you felt like you had stepped into a house in Peppermint Grove, although when I walked into my 10 bed dorm I was glad to see an airconditioning unit on the wall - could get a liiiittle stuffy. I dumped my stuff and headed back down to the port to meet the Kiwis, hoping their local hadn't led them on a wild goose chase.
They arrived soon after, satisfied with their accommodation which was great, and we headed off to find some lunch. Having mostly cooked in Split ...
Ahhhh...Korcula...
We have spent a few days on the island of Korcula and it was paradise. We took a 3 hour ferry ride and the approach to Korcula was beautiful. We had heard rumors there that accommodations at the few existing hotels was expensive and had received a tip that we should do as the locals do and just find some private accommodations. Upon arrival, there were a number of locals holding up signs indicating they had accommodations available…it was chaos. We ...
