      ... that Min goes on a Gondola before we go, and it must be the right Gondola.  She is not riding on one of those dilapidated ones with the bashed in seats.  It must have one of the royal seats with the gold frills and the intricately and ornately carved hull.  We visit two different spots (far away from the tourists in the grand canal) to hunt for the exact boat.  Min spots one and now we must time the line ...

      A very wet day as forecast so very glad we got the long journey out the way yesterday as the sea state looks very choppy today. After a trip to the airport to clear in and become legal we take a hire car and head to Grada.       ... I guess every nationality was represented. We had lunch in a quaint cafe and wandered the streets for ages, so much to look at. San Marco Piazza was a great place to watch the world go by. The Basilica looked interesting (has St Mark's remains) but the queue was too long.
