Sorry I have not been able to blog. Forgot the charger for new keyboard and could not download pictures to iPad before yesterday because card would not fit. Once we left the caves we went to horse farm, for a certain type of horses that are originally bred only in Slovenia. It was called Lipica Stud Farm and it began in 1580. ... caught up on the history I missed in school... Padua - a university town, the 3rd oldest in Europe, where Galileo taught. We visited St Anthony of Padua Cathedral, gothic architecture. We are staying near Venice, on the Adriatic Sea. Lovely, lovely seaside town with a marble boardwalk, fine sand and the roar of the surf (collected seashells to show Hope and Chloe) Our guide arranged for a turkey dinner for us, an unusual meal for Italians, nice touch.
