I am not sure how much, or any of the pirate night festivities Min and I will see. It'll depend on how we feel when all the "fun" starts. We're not planning to eat with our usual happy campers, and may just eat at Cabanas and then sneak away to somewhere quiet and unpiratey.

And then with consummate ease of someone who knows exactly what she was doing, skillfully guided us out of the bay, into the sea and applied all the power of both engines. Off we took, and I watched her nimble fingers deftly applying just the right amount of pressure on the throttle levers to stop us bouncing over some waves. So at the end of our journey just had to talk to her as well. So it’s amazing how ...

In the afternoon they showed "Sound of Music" sing along version, on the big screen outside. Dad and Mike just couldn't wait to get there, and sang at the top of their voices!!! Quite embarrassing really!!

They took 3 days to do the victoria and Albert museum, man that must have been dull!

Historical Traveler Reviews Princess Heights St. Maarten/St. Martin
We stayed at Princess Heights in early December. Everybody has this mental vision of the way St Maarten ought to be and the perfect hotel to spend time in. Princess Heights is exactly what you should be looking for. It's far enough from the airport and Phillipsburg to be away from the traffic and craziness of St Maarten, but still close enough to take advantage of the great restaurants, shopping, and nightlife that St Maarten offers.
We stayed here during mid Aug, 2004. Our baggage didn't make it to the airport when we arrived in St. Martin. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that our room had been upgraded due to the availability issue of the original room type. This helped us recover from the shock of missing baggage somewhat. And the next day when they arrived, everything was alright again.
Honeymoon at Princess Heights
My husband and I have been planning our honeymoon for 4 months with the wonderful people at Princess Heights. They have been nothing but wonderful and that was only via e-mail. When we arrived in November 2004 our room was everything we could have wanted and more! The staff was friendly and vergy helpful. We had breakfast delivered to our room every morning, it was delicious. The hotel is right across the street from Dawn Beach, which is stunning. When we were trying to plan activities for the week, Saskia and Marjorie asked us what we wanted to do and booked everything for us without hesitation. Overall I give Princess Heights and staff 5 stars! We will be going back for our 3 year wedding anniversary.
Perfect in every way
Unfortunately our trip from the UK to St Maartin was cut short due to awful travel delays- so we only stayed for 5 days. I have to say that it was still worth the time to get here. It was perfect in every way. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite - it was very spacious, tasteful and extremely well equipped (washing machine/ full kitchen etc) Pool was lovely as was Dawn Beach - very quiet, powder sand/ clear calm water. We ate at Busbys- the food was great and reasonable (unlike the places on the French side) Supermarket by Busbys was outrageously expensive - there is a much better one across from the bowling alley en route back to the airport (which is also good fun!) Oh and by the way the view is to die for! The staff are wonderful and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!
Will be returning for my 5th visit in October.....
We will be returning for our 5th. visit in October.
We wouldn't consider staying anywhere but Princess Heights. Just love the cozy home type feeling. Yes, you do need to rent a car to get aroun the island, its well worth it......The staff is friendly and could not be more helpful...We must say at Princess Heights we have experienced our most relaxing and most enjoyable vacation of all time. THANK YOU......to all the staff of Princess Heights...We will return whenever possible......
We just loved our stay at Princess Heights.
It was quiet and had us relaxing quickly. The rooms were immaculate and very spacious. The view from the balcony was excellent. Dawn beach was down the hill and was beautiful. The surf was the biggest on the island but not to good for the boogie board since the waves break on the shore. A car is a must for the stay at Princess. It is away form all the action on the island but I would stay there again anytime. Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves and it is big. Rent a car, get your groceries at the store and you are set for an excellent vacation.
This property is magnificent. The two master bedrooms were large and each had an immaculate bath. A lovely living room, dining area, and Siematic Kitchen. Marble floors and granite are every where. Beautiful view over Dawn Beach. Everyone there is quiet, professional, and efficient.
We stayed at Princess Heights for our honeymoon; and, had a wonderful time. The apartment/condo was spacious and clean. The view from our balcony was breathtaking!! We could see Dawn beach and St. Barts (across the ocean) perfectly. The landscaping was beautiful too-- with lots of tropical flowers everywhere. I was very impressed, and I will stay here again next time I visit St. Maartin.
