Best hotel ever!
We booked this hotel a month ago and have just returned from a one week stay. I really don't know where to start. This hotel is SUPERB! The pool area is huge and very clean with lots of sunbeds. The rooms are kept immaculate by very friendly staff. It is also useful to have a firdge in the room and our room was triple with 3 proper single beds.
The evening entertainment is extremely professional and even my two sons aged 15 and 13 enjoyed it. The food is wonderful with loads of choice. I really can't recommend this hotel highly enough. The Cosmos reps were also wonderful and very helpful..in fact not a criticism to be made at all.
8 times and going back
We have been to this hotel 8 times and will be back next year.
Great place to stay.
Rooms spacious and clean.
Restaurant - very good choice
Pool - Excellent, spacious and plenty of beds
Entertainment Team - The best - Plenty of activities.
Every time we go, the children, aged 17 and 12 tell us it was the best ever.
Highly recommend Playa Princesa
What a suprise
this was another late deal that i booked with my partner. we booked it at birmingham airport about 10 in the morning and were on the plane at 4! we arrived at our resort in time to walk down to the marina and have a meal. i have always been a bit worried about visiting the spanish islands like menorca and majorca as i like some local culture not just a little britain. (short sighted i know but you tend to go by experience). menorca was beautiful. the hotel was wonderful very friendly staff especially in the bar. we went self catering and the only problem we had was finding a large supermarket that didn't just stock frozen food as we had no freezer. to go self catering for longer than a week you would really need to hire a car as there is a great supermarket just outside cuitadella. the beach at calla n bosch is not the best and can get very crowded even in september. we decided to take the costal path down to a beach we had heard was gorgeous. what we didnt realise was the walk would take us 2 hours we went totally un prepared no water or anything. however it was well worth it the beach was absolutely spectacular pure white sands crystal clear sea and the scenery on the walk itself was breaktaking. be warned there is a nudist area of the beach and some people insit on spilling over on to the public side but it's easy to ignore. there are also no amenities at all on the beach and you are a very long walk from any shops so take drinks with you!!! the beach is accessable by car but you have to go through cuitadella so if you do decide to go on foot don't make the mistake we did and think it would be quicker to walk back on the road. you have to take the costal path. the hotel is in a wonderful position as buses and the marina are right on your doorstep this is not the place for a clubby holiday though. it was exactly what we were after, a relaxing holiday with a little bit of quiet entertainment.
this hotel is great, plenty to do, the animation team were super. 10 in our party 4 adults and 6 children ages 10-2. Pool big and clean, food was great, hot and plenty of it. Staff were helpful and polite. About 10 mins walk to marina which is lovely, with plenty of bars and food places. Apartments were very clean and airy. Felt very safe even at night. Would go half board again.
Fantastic Loacation And Property.
hotel Princesa Playa/Menorca
As a family we have stayed in the hotel for the last 3 years and returning back this year, the staff go out of their way to make your holiday the best you have ever had, I work for Airtours and have no hesitation going on holiday to this property even though it is exclusive in the UK to the Cosmos
holiday group, the family shows in the evening are superb, so much effort is made in the costumes and performance, the food is great loads of choice and never cold! The bedrooms are always kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff, and the swimming pool is clean and always a spare sun-bed is to be found and we went last August! If your choice of hotel means quality and value then make this top of your list!
A Wonderful Stay
What a great stay - have just returned from this hotel and we were seriously impressed.
The food - excellent and with a HUGE variety buffet style in a lovely airy spacious dining room, I think it was divided into smoking and non smoking but they were very well spaced apart so non-smokers were not bothered by any stray smoke
The staff - cheerful and friendly and very helpful. Even though we made an effort to speak Spanish when possible their English was excellent
The pool - huge, beautiful and clean
The room - spacious, very clean, large bathroom, powerful shower, loads of hot water, tv, balcony, air conditioning and a mini fridge which was a godsend!
The facilities - reasonably priced hotel shop where you can hire bikes and Velosplays, poolside snack bar, table tennis, shuffleboard, tennis courts, footie nets, basketball nets, pool tables, air hockey table, electronic kiddie rides and a kids playground. Pleasant bar with entertainment of all kinds most evenings (and reasonably priced drinks), but if we chose to stay in our room, we could sit out on the terrace with minimum noise. The hotel grounds were extensive and very well kept with beautiful shrubs and flowers and huge amphorae decoration
Location - the beach nearby was not the prettiest beach, but it had a couple of nice cafes with some shops and a very reasonable car hire place - all about 5 minute walk from the hotel grounds. Also about 15 minute walk from Cala'n Bosc. we felt safe at all times walking around at night, but obviously caution should still be taken! There is a bus stop literally right across the road with buses running to Ciutadella every 15 minutes (only 1.50 Euro each way)
The negatives - only complaints we would have are: we would have preferred a real double bed instead of 2 singles pushed together, but I understand thats fairly normal. Also (this is more a personal preference) the veggies were occasionally overcooked, but the rest of the food was delicious.
All in all - we don't usually do "sun packages" but were extremely glad in this case that we did - we would happily recommend it to anyone and hope that they had as positive an experience as we did.
Loved the hotel princesa playa
What a fabulous place. Lovely clean and attractive hotel. Fabulous massive pool with kids area. Rooms were nice and clean, only thing missing was a kettle! Staff were fantastic, entertainment good for kids, although some of it was a bit butlins. Food was ok, but got a bit boring after a while, but maybe im just too fussy. Harbour is about ten minute walk away but its worth it, lovely restaurants and plenty for kids to do. Would defimately go back to priincesa playa but would probably opt for apartment next time. Great holiday!
We have been to this hotel for the past 3 years and have already booked again for next year. We have two daughters aged 13 and 10 and they have never been bored, hard to believe I know but why do you think we keep going back!!
We have stayed in both the hotel rooms and self catering apartments. They are well equipped, clean and comfortable, maid service comes 6 out of 7 days. The pools are clean, there is a life guard on duty and the pool bar supplies drinks and food almost all day, great if your peckish or thirsty! There's no need to get up early for a sunbed either, there are always plenty, even spares at midday!
The dining hall is clean, the food is served buffet style and is delicious with loads of choice, from soups, salads, meat, cheeses, vegetables etc, all presented like a top hotel would. They also serve pasta, chips, chicken nuggets and pizzas (great if you've got children!) This year we went self catering but as the food is so good we opted for the half board option when we got there and got a great deal, 14 days breakfasts and evening meals for the price of 10 days! Bargain!
The sports activities are numerous and cater for all ages, from darts, archery, pistol shooting and shuffle board to the more energetic table tennis, volleyball, tennis and football. Every afternoon there is either water-volley or water-polo.
In the evening there is always some form of entertainment, don't miss the entertainment staff when they perform!
The hotel staff and waiters are always very helpful, courteous and friendly, in fact when we arrived this year some of the bar staff came out to greet us!!
The marina is only 20 minutes walk and has a good selection of shops, we haven't eaten at any of the restaurants though because the food at the hotel has always been enough.
We highly recommend this hotel and resort.
Love it, love it, love it
We are returning to the Princesa Playa for our 3rd time in May this year. The hotel is truly outstanding in all aspects. The rooms are spacious and very very clean, there are 2 adults and 2 children (4&6) in our party and we find the room no problem at all. The staff are fabulous especially the waiters who seem to work forever. The food is buffet style, and although sometimes the restaurant can become very crowded the staff cope well. Food is replenished very quickly, and everyones taste is accounted for. The kids have a little buffet of their own which does tend to be the same ie chips, pasta, nuggets etc but they seem happy enough. The kids club is run by the hotel twice a day, or you have the tour operators club, for that during busy periods you need to sign up the day before as numbers are limited. It gets the children doing activities for about 2 hours a day and they seem to have fun. In the evening there is a mini disco which starts about 9.00pm and goes on for approx 45 mins. The entertainment staff will then take the kids off to watch a movie whilst the adult entertainment starts. If your child wants you they will bring your child to you.The pool and gardens are outstanding. Lovely size shallow pool for the younger ones and a huge pool for adults and teenagers. Lots of places to sit in the grounds or around the pool, though down by the kids bit it gets very very busy and most people will be up at the crack of dawn and put their towels over sunbeds!!!! So Beware.Cala n Bosch Marina is about a 15-20 minute walk away and here you will find bars and restaurants and shops.
Cannot rate this hotel complex highly enough. I am a very fussy traveller especially when it comes to service and cleanliness, and this hotel gets my vote every time. Roll on May 21st.
We are visiting the Princesa Playa for the 4th year running! We have 2 children, now aged 7 and 4. The hotel complex is fantastic, offering self catering and half board. We stay on half board but have taken friends with us each year who have stayed on self catering. There is a hotel kids club on offer everyday as well as Cosmos's holiday club.
There is a daily entertainment programme which you can join in with if you want or you can just relax by the pool which is huge, freeform and one of the reason we originally chose this hotel 4 years ago.I really cannot fault this hotel and the resort of Cala'n Bosch is a short stroll away and has a lovely little marina. You will not be disappointed if you choose this hotel and resort...we're not ! So much so we are already contemplating booking for 2005 as soon as we can!

... or at least that is what I told him.
Menorca is well worth a visit, there is plenty to keep you busy for at least a week and with our few days on the island we did tick off all four corners and criss crossed the island. The capital, Mahon (or Mao) was a bit of a disappointment although the Xoriguer Gin Distillery did seem to let you taste as much as you wanted - a shame to be driving so made do with a useable souvenir purchase for use at home. The old ...
Last day... Despite not being at school, I think we had to get up even earlier today! We met with Lisa and Andrea and took a taxi to Santa Ponsa to meet John. From there, we began our boat trip to the island of Dragonera, near the north west coast of Majorca. The trip was great - more views of the beautiful Mallorquin coastline, blazing sun and the wind in our hair. We stopped for a swim in the sea en route to the island and had a lunch on the boat - ...
Last day at school... And thankfully Javier made it quite fun! We practised telephone conversations and played Taboo in Spanish which I think was a very useful way of practicing what we had learnt - and was good fun (no Lucking cheating tactics allowed!). At the end of the lesson, I was handed my certificate -140 hours of lessons! My progress is apparently just higher than a GCSE in Spanish - so nowhere near fluent, but not bad for 7 ...
After school today, James drove us to Coloni Sant Jordi, a pretty little port, for a bite to eat. We had intended to explore a nearby beach which was recommended by a local, but after having had quite a few days of exploring recently, we drove straight to Es Trenc beach instead. People had told me that this was their favourite beach on the island... It's definitely nice. A very long, narrow beach with nice sand and sea. However, it seemed to be having ...
... massive bruise on her bum. We continued around the island looking at caves, waterholes and private beaches. Fighting the wind to get back to the beach we realised we were to late and missed bus home so we got to spend a little more time at the beach then a massive hike up to the bus stop. We walked home getting pizza/pasta on the way then played drinking games for the rest of the ...
