These were excellent appartments which met all our needs. There were only two issues. 1. No WiFi in the rooms and the address when entered into Sat nav sends you all over the place as street details are incorrect.
Other than that staff friendly & helpful and rooms ok.

Great position excellent value
booked this hotel of internet and read mixed reviews prior to our short break. we couldn't have chosen a better location in marbella the hotel was facing the beach and 4-5 minutes walk to shops and old town. had a fab holiday and would definately consider this hotel again, great value for money.
Just back from Marbella and stayed at this hotel for 7 nights - highly recommended! Staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are a decent size with plenty of storage space, the decor is modern and tasteful, the kitchen facilites are basic but adequate for cooking breakfast or a simple meal and the sea views from the balcony are amazing!
The location of this hotel is perfect as a base in marbella... metres from the seafront and a 5 minute walk to the Old Town. There is a also a modern supermarket 2mins walk away from the hotel. Puerto Banus is 6km away - approx 8 euro in a taxi.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in - will definetly visit again!
I have just returned from a quick 4 day break at the Princessa Playa. The hotel was in an excellent location on the front and has shops/amenities/restuarants etc all on your doorstep. The hotel itself was very nice indeed. Very Clean, maids came everyday. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were in a group of 10 and we all had different sized rooms, ours being the largest but all of the others were decent sized rooms. Fridge and oven hob. Showers are large and powerful. We had plenty of storage place too. Restaurant views were fantastic, the breakfast was quite expensive at 11 euros per person and just down the front you could pay 4 Euros for a full english with coffee and fresh orange. Would stay there again. We did actually get a bargain £85 for 3 nights, through Wintersunshine Holidays which made it an absolute bargain, I would have been prepared to pay that per night!
Princesa Playa Review
Visted the Marbella in February and stayed at the Princesa Playa. Booked via an agent and paid GBP 174 for 5 nights which is not bad for a 4 star hotel. The hotel itself is well located on the seafront with clean comfortable rooms. Nice to have a sea view. The TV was a small portable and reception was intermittent. So not 4 star more of a 3 star. My shower head would not fit in the housing on the rail, you would think that in a 4 star hotel they would check this out before booking someone in the room. It was not possible for them to address this problem so I lived with it. If you arrive late as I did (after 23:00) there are no restuarants open nearby, there is however a 24 hour supermarket just up the road
Great location, but...
Prime location, on the beach and within a few minutes walk to the old town and the shops, and our 7th floor room had a fantastic sea view with balcony. However, the room smelt of drains, interior fixings in the fridge were broken and the furniture and fittings were getting old.
The pool on the 9th floor is a bit small, but great views, and it wasn't too busy. Parking in the eerily half empty underground car park at €11 a day was almost as much as the car rental.
Staff very professional - hotel just needs refurbishing. It is quite cheap, so maybe you get what you pay for?
We stayed here one night in February. The studio was clean and compact but the Hotel Apartamentos Princesa Playa is the ONLY place I have ever stayed in my entire life (I have visited 4 continents and stayed in lodgings from family run pensions to fivestar hotels ) where they could not provide more than ONE extra blanket for a chilly mortal.
A desperate search revealed no spare blankets in the cupboard. At reception the cupboard yielded only 2 and I was allowed to have only ONE of these on the grounds that another guest might request one!
There is no street parking to be had [the few places available were continuously occupied] and the underground garaging next door was about £10 day. There are sea views from ( and a small dip pool on) the roof.
Stayed for 6 days in September. I would highly recommend this apart/hotel and will be booking again for next year.
Great place to stay
We were originally booked to stay somewhere else but it wasn't up to scratch so we went looking elsewhere and found the Princesa Playa.
Studios are compact but they have excellent storage and hence didn't feel too small. They also have seperate beds, not a sofa bed.
Fantastic location, modern, very clean and good value. Views are fantastic, make sure to get a frint or side view room. The pool is small but you can lie out and have a dip. The beach is 3 mins walk. Would stay here again.
Excellent Value for Marbella - Recommended
Wanted a hotel on the seafront without paying over the odds for it. This hotel/apartment was perfect... great sea views and along the prom.
Good Location & good value. i would recommend this hotel - i don't do this often as i am very fussy at searching for a decent place at a good price - i seemed to get this in April 2005 and only paid 100 euros/night for a studio for 2 .
I guess a place can change in high season so i cannot comment - the only thing that would have spoilt this place would have been noisy guests in adjoing rooms. there was none in April but i guess you could get them at any time !
The best thing about this place is the location on the seafront with a balcony looking straight out across the mediterraen sea. Where can you get a romm for under 70 quid that gives you this ?
Right on the beach!
We stayed at the Hotel Princessa Playa for a weekend. It's position on the seafront is superb and within walking distance from the old town. We were looking for a hotel with breakfast and price wise this was excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful and although the rooms are classed as apartments they are not very big and the cooking facilities are limited. On the plus side having a fridge and kettle in a Spanish Hotel is a bonus. The breakfast was very good and there is a private car park which can be used for a 11 euros per day. The view from the dining room is wonderful, it was clear enough to see Africa and all rooms have sea view. The roof top pool is very small, not even large enough for a swim but the hotel is right on the beach. The hotel is probably not the best choice for the high season The El Fuerte is nearby (but twice the price) but for a bed and breakfast weekend with fantastic views and everything within walking distance you can't beat it for the price.

... both in and out on our journey so far.
Picked up a local paper at this campsite, very interesting indeed. First thing of note was the write up about the storm earlier in the week, which was apparently the worst they’d had in 20 years. There was a picture of a Beach Bar in Torre del Mar which we walked past whilst they were cleaning up, Penny commented as there were girls in shorts and ...
Woke up with an absolutely stinking migraine. Took two paracetemols and went back to sleep with an icepack on my head!! Bob had an early round at Miraflores Golf Club. He said it was a really beautiful course and he thoroughly enjoyed the round. No encounters with fences this time and he went round in 100 so pretty good. By the time he got back I was feeling more like it and having ...
... for parking, we drove about 15 mins to the next town to our hotel. It was pretty basic but it was a last minute booking in a holiday town in August! We walked around the town which was very local and not very touristy.
Unfortunately it was not a good night's sleep as the hotel was very noisy and light. Tony used his early wake-up proactively to book our next few days, and we left to discover more of the Spanish coast just after ...

Marbella is really the warmest place we have been to on this trip...it can't be bad if we are prepared to strip down to shorts and sunbathe.
Cabopino is such a friendly site too, I even enjoy washing up as I always chat to someone while I'm doing it.
We have a viewing of the chalets tomorrow to make sure which one we want to book for next year.
... and is a funny man. He checks us in then we go out to look at Ronda. After a bite to eat we go for a wander.....wow! Loving Ronda. What a beautiful little town and we take a bunch of photos. The new bridge is spectacular at night, but the streets are equally lovely. There are people wandering around and it feels like a very safe place to be. We think Ronda is pretty special, but you be the judge, I'll post some of the photos from ...
