        Leaving the capital of Abuja we headed through the mountain town of Jos on route to Yankari National park. This place is known for the crystal clear warm springs.         ... ia are very common. I was nearly one of them. While driving down the highway at about 110km/h the car in front of us slammed on its brakes for no reason. I driver was forced to do the same. We were stranded on the highway. At this point I looked behind me to see a fuel tanker heading straight for me. My life flashed before me.         ... thing is that I think the people there are on average happier than people in the US. My guess is that community is stronger than luxury when it comes to happiness. So, while we are munching on popcorn watching a rented movie at home they are finding entertainment together in the community. Groups of friends seem to be more fun/satisfying and certainly better at supporting each other when times are tough. Anyway, that line of thought is the basis of my theory ...
