... thing is that I think the people there are on average happier than people in the US. My guess is that community is stronger than luxury when it comes to happiness. So, while we are munching on popcorn watching a rented movie at home they are finding entertainment together in the community. Groups of friends seem to be more fun/satisfying and certainly better at supporting each other when times are tough. Anyway, that line of thought is the basis of my theory ...
