... agree, why did I come to a country that lives off of seafood again? Anyway, we had a nice night and hit the hay early because we had a big day ahead of us.
In the morning we headed to Halla-san, a volcanic peak at the center of the island. Its a beast, about 6 miles up and then you have to climb the same 6
back down. The weather was ok at the bottom, but it was horrible at
the top. After we passed the Unesco station which is about 2.3 miles from ...
Seogwipo, Jeju Island, Korea Rep. heatherann... in the rooms, so I slept great!! In the morning we went for a run and got some cereal from the convenience store for breakfast. We took a bus to the far east side of the mountain and hiked Sunrise Peak. It was a short, about 30 minute, hike but the view was beautiful from the top. After we finished, we walked down the black sand beach and layed out for a while, insistant that we were going to get our chance at tanning. We had a galbi dinner (barbque) and went ...
Seogwipo, Jeju Island, Korea Rep. heatherann... it after I return to reality and locate my USB cable to upload some pictures.

Saturday (July 25) morning at 5 am I awoke in fascination of waking up with out the two alarms set. On my floor were two fine young gentlemen named Matty Wyse and Adam. They strolled in earlier in the morning. I was pleasantly pleased with Matty "Pig Killer" Wyse as he slept soundly the whole night. We hit the streets and after rounding up a few stragglers and our group of 12 were off to ...
Sogwip'o, Jeju, Korea Rep. morpheousFrom my paper journal...

July 4th 8pm
Yesterday at work I had an atypical day. As I had packed my camera for my trip to Jeju-Do I had it at school that day for some video fun. I did a small one minute video with each student. As well Sally took some footage of me being a human jungle gym. At the end of the day as I usually am on Fridays, I was mentally and physically exhausted (though yesterdays fatigue might have been augmented by an 11:30 DOTA session the night ...
Jungmun Beach, Jeju, Korea Rep. morpheousWe've grown fond of the scooter because it beats walking and taking the bus everywhere. The morning we woke up on friday for us and thursday for you guys, we got up really early to watch the sunrise but it was too cloudy to see anything but we didn't have to pay because we woke up so early. It was a hard climb up and I was getting winded a little. And as I type this Preston is smacking my ass with a Jeju Pamphlet because he has ADHD. We ...
Chŏnji-dong, Jeju, Korea Rep. azianshrimp... relax a bit without having to worry about the next leg of my journey for a day or two... Went to Seongsan Ilchulbong in the morning of full-day-1, which is a big crater. Something to do with the volcanic rock, maybe it was a volcano, I don't know I clearly wasn't paying attention. Anyway, nice views of the island and out to the horizon. Much time was spent gazing out to sea and pondering life/love/the universe/other ...
Seogwipo, Jeju Island, Korea Rep. vivtong... here than me, so they just take the lead.

Something random happens here everyday. Pauliina's been blown away by it, but I guess I'm used to it now. :) Number one thing to know if you come to Korea: Expect nothing, and be ready for anything. Something as simple as grocery shopping can turn into an adventure, or someone will be crazy to you, or you'll see kids riding on saline holders down the street, like they were scooters (in front of a hospital, but ...
Seogwipo, Korea Rep. sabinekim... places are not for you or I, but rather a local brand of tourist who have their own reasons for hanging out in such a place. The more I see, the less I seem to understand about this country. It's the awkwardness of it all that actually makes it interesting, so don't get your hopes up about finding that unexploited treasure that you can write home about. Instead I've decided to write about this nonsense in the hopes that someone will re-direct me to the side of the peninsula that isn't crazy!
Jeju Island, Korea Rep. tobiah... to buy her family a heap of dried fish and sea-weed. It was such a great afternoon. We also purchased a heap of seafood for our last dinner on beautiful Cheju-Do. After a beautiful evening feasting on fresh seafood we all took a walk around the streets and then headed back to the hotel for an early evening. Beers N Cheers toya....shane Accommodation: Motel in Jeju City ...
