... Cannot reach light unless get out of bed. Not getting out of bed. Tuck sheets in extra firm. Bathroom light? Cannot reach either. Torch? a) not bright enough to make them scarper & b) out of reach in bag on other side of room. Water, if only I had water gun, works on cats, probably rats. No rats live in sewer, not scared of water. Plus no water gun. Jump on bed. Yes.Make noise by jumping. Scare them. Jumping finished. No ...
Pulau Kapas, Terengganu, Malaysia lisaknott... accepted - tasted kind of like sweet onions.

So, we booked our bus out the next day an express bus (big double decker, so Martyn asked for seats upstairs for the best views.) Next stop Cherating - not far but nice to be comfortable. And at least this bus had fully reclined seats and air con!
Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia martynandsarah... so helpful. You go out in a small group snorkeling and the beach infront of the resort is twice as nice as Laguna's. They are building a new resort next door to the Coral Redang that looks good so far but they haven't finished yet, so who knows.
Where ever you stay I'm sure if you come to Redang you'll fall in-love with the place!
During our stay we went snorkeling in the Marine Park ( so many fish ) we swam just off ...
Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia luvlifetravel... but it turned out to be quite an interesting place, we got a cheap room and wandered around the indoor markets, selling crazy amounts of saris and scarves and all sorts of amazingly coloured and patterned cloth. Also some wierd food including lots of dried fish. We were staying right next to a massive Mosque which was very impressive particularly in the evening. We headed to China town to gt some dinner and had some really cheap and very tasty ...

Kenyir Lake, Malaysia isax... anyway and part from each other too and you need to earn money in China to go on traveling made me go. I could have stayed though, one of the locals offered me a job as a waitress. No wage, but free stay and free food. Couldn't take it, no saving possible, since this trip ate up my whole earning of China, that wouldn't be what I call moving forward. This whole Malaysian adventure started as a dream and it ended as one of the best dreams I've ever had. Thank you for every little second Floh.
Pulau Perhentian Kecil, Malaysia silberregen... using a bucket, but we spend most of the day on the beach so it doesn't really matter. Today is our second day of the four day PADI Open Water diving course, which involves doing some classroom type studying, and then learning how to breathe with the scuba gear in shallow water, before doing four 'open water' (i.e. you're dropped off from a boat) dives of varying depths. We did the first one this afternoon, and it was just amazing - the feeling of weightlessness, the stunning marine ...
Pulau Kecil, Perhentian Islands, Malaysia kerchang... being made up of Chinese and Indians. The pace of life in Kuala Terengganu, its capital state, and all the towns and villages in Terengganu is unhurried and unaffected by the hustle and bustle of a big city. Terengganu's history goes back to as far as the 1st century and has long been an important area of Malay settlement. Throughout the time up to the present day, Terengganu has been ruled by 16 Sultans.
Terengganu, Malaysia mobiyus... beaches like this are a dime a dozen, but it easily surpasses any back home, on the east coast anyway. Today, though, we had a planned excursion in the afternoon to the turtle sanctuary at Rantau Abang, only about 20km away from my school in Dungun. After a powerpoint presentation about the sanctuary, we went to visit the turtles kept in activity for research purposes. This was an absolutely amazing experience. As I have said before, the risk-averse policies of U.S. zoos ...
