... 3.40 train to Milan. This is our last train of interrailing:( Can't say it's our favourite though, in fact it's probably the worst. The air conditioning consists of windows and the leather seats are not the nicest to sit on in the sweltering heat. Lucy thinks she is going to die, or she did until she fell asleep anyway. Emma's blond hair attracted some more strange Italian youths who wished her a 'goodbye princess' several times which woke her ...

Currently we are sat on the bus coming back to the hostel from sirmione. It had been suggested to us as one of the quieter beaches of Garda. Maybe the receptionist got the wrong end of the stick as it definitely wasn't a quiet area. However it was pretty and the water was a lot nicer than Peschiera, so we've decided to forgive him. ... walked back into the village and had a lovely afternoon wandering around the tiny streets and piazzas. We bought a couple of small souvenirs and then headed back to the car by about 5pm and drove the 20 minutes back to the campsite. As soon as we got back to the caravan the kids jumped in the pool to cool off - again. Dinner was stir fry chicken on the Cadac much to the envy of many of the neighbours! So plan C worked out well and we still have Plan A and B to do another day. ...

... and Italian's talk too fast for me to understand so I have become somewhat withdrawn and don't really talk much. Shocking, I know. I just listen as much as I can and train my ears. I'm starting to pick out words and guess what conversations are about (also by judging their body language. No joke, I can understand a conversation by the way they use their hands. It's great for beginners like me!!!!). All in time I guess.

I had hoped that by now I could hold a ...
