... After seeing USA lose to Brazil in the shootout, we could see that Merrill Moses was very upset for not performing up to his expectations. One thing we know about Merrill is that he will take this loss as a source of motivation. It will drive him to work harder. This is something we are going to follow by example. This is the growth mindset and he isn't going to let the mistakes that he made in the shootout define what kind of goalie he is.

... departed for Bergamo. The bus ride was four hours and you can guess what most of the us were doing right? You might assume we were sleeping, but no, we were playing "Head Soccer" on our iPhones the whole time.
When we finally arrived in Bergamo we got off the bus and toured the Fina World League Super Final facility. An hour later we swam in the official pool of the tournament and played a scrimmage against the local team, Bergamo. Playing water polo ...

One of the most exciting parts of Europe is to order bread with breakfast as Brot and as Pane at dinner. Today we crossed 5 minutes out of Füssen into Austria, on to Innsbruck for Lunch then a few hours further south through the Dolomites into Lago di Garda for our stop for the evening.

... to upgrade our hire car to a Classic Italian Alfa Romeo Giuletta ( or similar) was a complete wast of time and we ended up with a citroen C3 Picasso. Not at all similar !! I will be taking this up with the hire company on our return. Other than that it has been a fantastic ten days which as Kate keeps on reminding me was all booked by her.... Except the car hire!
