The place we stayed in Barbaresco was really excellent. They did eventually stop unloading grapes, seemingly around midnight and in the morning after a great breakfast we got shown round the winery; Casa Boffa. The owner was the 3rd generation of the wine makers and his son was learning the business. They had 10 acres of vineyards, rented a bit more and produced 30,000 bottles a year. Suddenly a common face pulled up on a scooter. It was Paolo. He sat down and had a drink with us. Then we were joined by another guy named Davide (he used to work with Davide too) until we realised how late it was and that tomorrow we had to wake up at 6am because we were going to VENICE!!! :D
