We spent our last morning in Prague climbing a hill. It was slightly colder than yesterday morning but sunny none the less. We made our way across town without getting lost this time. Winding their way around wells and waste pits, we discovered pottery and artefacts from the people of the towns past, preserved catapult shots and the water tower wheel - reconstructed to a pattern found in the 1800’s.

On the advice of the guide books, we stopped in at Loket, a small town, known for its medieval castle built around the river bends that fringe the settlement. Somehow we’d managed to time our visit with the annual castle festival, so were treated to stalls of food and crafts and musicians, during our walk.
... Prague by rally car, or so it seemed, as our drivers decided 160km/hour was suitable (that’s about 100mph for the Americans). Our hosts, Tomas and Standaslav greeted us warmly and handed over our four-day schedule.
