... to wind our way along, remembering we are driving a Fiat Punto - not large, certainly not AWD, but roads clear and well maintained. Down down into the Alta Badia valley, glorious ski fields, typical mountain villages like you see in the movies!! Southern Austria to Northern Italy! Last night celebrating the Octoberfest with the locals Marky and I drank beer and ate sausage. Half way through cleaning his plate, Marko realized the locals were peeling the skin off their white sausages !!! Oh well.! We danced with the locals until we couldn't stand up! ... of the mountains for a 25 euro parking fee and just walk around them. The walk is not difficult and does not go up or down a lot. So it is relatively easy. There are certain places where if one suffers from vertigo, then should pass them without looking down too much. However it is not a "via ferrata" where one is climbing on some chains hammered into the side of the mountain.

Four days flew by and it was time to move on further south to the coast close to Comacchio by the Adriatic ...

... a 'digestif local' out came a plain flagon style glass bottle with a piece of wood as a cork. I enquired as to what the snake or dead animal things were floating in the bottle? As best as I could make out they were roots from a blue plant up the mountain (locals were watching me as I drunk the brew - of course I liked it ... Well the next thing I know I am in my room asleep... 264 km of twisties with climbing of 7688 metres a simply awesome day to end my Italian riding ...
