... one bit. She confidently drives us around in her diesel stick shift, whipping around the tight mountain turns. Clearly self-sufficient, she is surprised as I grab two of four grocery bags and walk them to the car.

The small village of Le Palue is wonderful, but the real reason we have arrived stands 10,000 feet before us. The Dolomites are a nature lovers dream. We feel compelled to climb them but forced to respect them, as nothing ...

Day 19 - Vittorio Veneto to Treviso 51km Today was to be a magic 25 degrees and basically a flat ride along roads. It would appear that wine is normally served in small measures. Probably younger lady says in Italian that Helen must be a lush - What's the Italian for Spot on dear girl? After Helen has her fix of wine, off we go exploring. Treviso turns out to be a little gem and we instantly love the place. There is ...

... to mind. Eventually we shake them off, but think that if they aren't chaperoned, that they could get up to all sorts of business. We get up to the castle but it's a bit of an anti climax. The views are good though. On the way down, we bump into the odd Sam's Bar couple, but now she has the camera. Once again the poses are rather odd, so me make our escape. So after seeing old stuff, we head back to Casa Angela, pick up our ruck sacks, and make our way to the station to head for ...
