Slovene Karst and Seaside
... with my Slovenian Lasko beer, at the end of a long touring day. Apart from having a sloping coastline, the tiny streets in Piran reminded me of Venice. It seems that many artists make their home here, given the numbers of small galleries. My favourite was the artist Marko Jezernik - an economist who left his inland degree for an artist life on the coast, opening his shop as he feels like it....a nonconformist approach to life.

Heatwave in Zagreb!
... like an old fortress. Tall walls, that have are covered in vines and creepers. The façade of the cemetery is quite an impressive sight on its own; however once inside the cemetery you discover the true beauty. It does feel quite strange to be describing a cemetery like this but the cemetery is a maze of paths lined with lush green flora and some amazing tombs. World Record Breaker
... of us stayed out for a few bevvies before heading back to the hotel. Myself, Justin, Kirk and Emalee decided to walk back which took a little longer than I remembered but did give Kirk and I the chance to visit a kebab shop to refuel for the rest of the walk!
