This place was amazing for the price! A great deal that came with breakfast, en suite bathrooms, clean rooms, great customer service, and a nice looking facility, as well.

TRISH (the receptionist) IS THE BEST! :-D

... s friends, and then headed to the first pub for some drinks. As It turned out we were actually gatecrashing a family birthday party... oops. We stole a couple of the huge tables outside and got stuck into some beers to warm up because it was ******* freezing. Amazing, considering the lines we saw of individuals waiting to be processed. Within minutes we were checked into our hotel near the airport and thinking about what we should do with our 24 hours in Jo-berg. Thankfully, the concierge was able to arrange a 4 hour tour ...

A beautiful market with art, colour and interesting people. My favourite thing I purchased was a long wooden cheese board make from Rhodesian Teak. The sellers was a Shona man and had happy memories of Rhodesia, and saddened by what has happened to Zimbabwe. He must of been a young child like me ...

... Chicken and I am so glad he did because it was absolutely amazing and the entire meal was great and we all had a nice time. Before bed we had a fun Skype chat with Lubka our 4th Pioneer Member who was already back at home. It was great to speak to her again and we had another good laugh.

Today is our last full day in Africa, sigh. The packing has started and we are all working at a blistering pace to get our reports and ...

... after my intense airport experiences that are going to follow.

The airports...well let’s see. After having had the worst experience at an airport in Milan I was pretty much ready for anything at this final stage in my overseas journey because anything could have gone wrong, especially considering I was an illegal immigrant! So I catch the train from Pachi through to Athens airport and start my slow and nervous walk to the check-in counter. Before reaching ...
