    ... a famous caffe here in Perugia, The Sandri cafe, serving pastries since 1860.

    Perugia had a lovely feel and is all very beautiful.

    And guess what ? We were issued with our visa's at our appt that afternoon !!!!! So we can now stay here legally for

    12 months, although we have now been here already for over 5 months and leave Italy next week ...... Mamma Mia ...

    So, we drove north and are now in Tuscany. We stopped at Orvieto, which is an Italian Hill Town. There are many hill towns in Tuscany and Umbria, particularly the former. They were built during the middle ages as defensive structures due to the constant small time warfare and raiding. So, this massive Roman Empire is reduced to sibling squabbling. But there are attractive sights left for us.

    ... named Jenna, at their vineyard...........which we have visited three times now to see and the lovely owner Sylvia , and her daughter Laura. Lovely people , Lovey wine .....very hospitable!!!

    In in our tootling around Lake Trasimeno in Ronaldo, we popped into a tiny little village overlooking the lake, Montelago. A very kind elderly gent proudly showed us around his family olive mill . It has been producing cold-pressed Virgin Olive oil ...

    ... monks) The location of his boyhood house has long since fallen off the edge of the cliff !! The edges of the plateau are apparently crumbling off about 5 metres every 10 years.

    It is eerily beautiful.

    Pondering the view, I'm worried that slowly but surely this town will succumb to the march of time. However, due to the tourist revival and renewed interest , there is now a push to save what is left of ...

    ... just typed in English: "Hi this is Brady Flieller. I lost my tooth. Can you still give money to me?" into a translating app, and then copied it onto paper so the "mouse" will receive a note in Italian!!! I did two small loads of laundry along with several items for hand wash, and all are currently hanging to dry on our roof top patio. After some down time/park time we head to nearby Pienza for mass. Note, our "Audi or similar" that ...
