Today we leave Amalfi and head to Venice for the last stretch of our holiday. Because the ferry is not running, we need to catch the 8:00 am from Amalfi to Salerno - 1 1/4 hours. Then the train from Salerno to Roma. Next the train from Roma to Venice (via Firenze, Bologna, Padova and Venezia Mestre). Daniela, Claudia, myself, plus Gail and John Rubino (who got dragged along as John and Gail were on their way to Sicily after shopping) set off in the morning and headed for The Mall. It's an hour from Chiusi, not too far from Florence. We started with a coffee and then split up to shop for an hour or so, then met for lunch, and one more quick look around before heading home. We all, had a successful ...

... was a lady playing a harp and there were some lovely speeches, including one from Nicolas of course. It was a great relaxing afternoon and many of Paul's Aunty's, Uncles and cousins came. We had a treasure hunt at the end, one for the adults and one for the kids. In the evening Paul went to watch the soccer with the boys at Johns place, while the boys and I stayed in, had dinner and ...
