President Rennes

I went just one day to Rennes. I thought it was really pretty since all of the houses are made of
rough stones, des maisons bretonnes typiques. Aussi, les maisons sont faites
toutes un peu croches, ca donne un petit style que j'aimais bien.



Et oui effectivement, il fait beau plusieurs fois par jour. It does rain a LOT.
There is mainly what is in every french city, bars, restaurants and shoe shops!

Been chopping some wood for the fire for the last 2 days with ayms cousins and family. 1 of ayms cousins has an old merc he doesnt need, so he has told us we can have it.
Its gonna cost qbout 400 euros to get in insured, mot and on the road, but im hoping rose and mickou will come and split the costs with us.
Petrol to tunisia through spain and africa will cost about 300 euros so its not too bad, hoping to get work in south of france next week to fund it.

Last night aymericks aymericks aunties and uncles came to the cottage with ANOTHER of ayms many cousins (i'm sure he has a factory where they make them), for his grans 85th birthday. Famed as one of the best preserved medieval towns in France or so says the Lonely Planet, the old town seemed like it had been swallowed by the new. We had our first crepe and enjoyed it as we wandered through the old cobbled stone streets which became more and more rewarding. At this point the instructor told me to just work on my canter for the rest of the lesson, so I would randomly canter a lap, take a break and repeat. I did have a few really good jumps today though. On Wednesdays I now have flute lessons. I am getting my instructor to help me work on the pieces Miss Dath gave me. It is really useful.

I am not kidding when I say that the four of us were usually the only ones laughing in the theater. It was a really weird experience but one that I can understand from watching French films and missing the hidden meaning. Alors, it is time to get this blog finished. I've written about three blogs since my last "official" blog in Austria. To finish my adventure in Austria, I will just say that the week finished off wonderfully. ... rest of my group. We were split into three groups for oral and written expression and grammar review. It wasn't exactly what we thought. Some of our activities were a little less than we expected. We had classes one the "simple pleasures in Life," listened to audio recordings for comprehension and had two days of a very quick revision of the subjunctive and the conditional. We greatly appreciated the revision but one of our teachers speaks to us very slowly. Which almost ...
