Reached around 6pm local time at the 4th largest city in Thailand, this is our final stop before we explore Laos. Even this city located at the most direct route to Laos, it is probably best known for their archaeological wonders like the hamlet of Ban Chiang where the world's first Bronze Age civilization is believed to have flourished more than 5,000 years ago.

... cameraman! They had made up a welcome banner with my face on it! My host brother Nu is quite tall and was and exchange student to Ontario, his English is really good. They take me home and I get a beautiful room and washroom on the 3rd floor. Downstairs has a store front attached where they sell bulk rice. Behind the house is a series of apartments which they rent out. They have extended family next door, including Nu's grandma. I get fitted for my school uniform, pictures ...
