... have also never ever seen a queue as long either but it is well worth it! every morning we would get 2 different pastries and we bought a glass bottle for €2 and the nice lady fills it with freshly squeezed orange juice for 55 cents! Breakfast of champions! Next would be the crucial decision of pool or beach... For the first 2 days we went to the pool where we could layout on the grass and have a few games of ping pong (I still haven't won a game yet grrrr) the last 2 days ...

... is fab and air conditioned. Chilled for a bit then all showered then found a basic but great tapas bar - friendly service and fab food and cheap to boot. Finished with a wander up la rambla and into the barri gotic. Lovely evening. Kids managed to persuade us to play a few games of cards so not a very early ...

... night so it whipped up a bit of a swell but nevertheless we pushed on a moved to another fjord a short distance away. This fjord, Fornells, is quite pretty and full of boats and watersport
activists.
Just as I was doing laundry the heavens opened – which was great for the washing down
the decks but dreadful as we didn't managed to close all the hatches in good timing. At least the surfaces that got wet were with rain water and not salty water.

... promised us that rain was coming so we thought we had best! That night the rain certainly did come down. It hammered it down all night with thunder and lighting right overhead.. The next morning we woke up to a bit of flooding inside the awning from where the water had ran in along the ground rather than it leaking, no dramas and nothing wrecked so all good.. Off to check out the pool now and the sites also bang on the beach so will probably have a wander to that this afternoon!! ...

... actors union, Nuns, drunken stag parties, African looky-looky men flogging just about anything on a table-cloth on the pavement while the seen-it-all Barcelonans promenade by, usually with their dogs trying to hump each other. (the dogs I mean) If you like people-watching, and I know you do, treat yourself one day. The second visit was somewhat of a disappointment.
