Hey to all my readers. I am having a lot of fun in my travels.
A big shout out to all my coworkers. I hope that you are managing well without me, but are conveying a different picture of helplessness. Remember, only you can guarantee that I have a job when I return.
Uncle Bob - Every time I see a stinky, slimy fish, I think of you. No, No - not in that way, but in our similar aversion to Seafood, especially with the head and tail still on it! We can avoid it in Puerto Vallarta,...
I forgot an integral part of the story in regards to our arrival in KL.
First I must preface that everything I read about Singapore was that it was very clean. I did not think much about of it until we arrived in KL. Singapore is a freshly cleaned babies behind, while KL is like a babies diaper, fully loaded. Our bus dropped us off in a construction zone off of the main street. We had to walk on a uneven pavement approx. 3 feet wide between the construction barrier and all of the buses...
Since KL is such a big place and tourism info is limited, we did the hop on - hop off bus.
Shared space on the open air top of the bus with a lovely couple. I believe they were English. Now I will channel my sister - Unfortunately I was unable to capture their beauty from the front, but was able to snap a shot from the back. Let me tell you about them, He had his front tooth missing and she had some extra large chicklet teeth that were all over her mouth!
Here is where the chann...

... We hopped a couple of trains to head into KLCC (Kuala Lumpur Central City) where the famous twin tower Petronas buildings are. They are pretty amazing to look at from street level, and apparently you can get a pretty good view from up top. Unfortunately for us, we arrived just in time for Hari Raya (a Malaysian 3-day holiday) which meant the towers were closed.
The next day we decided to head for the Lake Gardens – over 200ha of gardens ...

... of the temple when I heard the painful cries of what I can pretty safely assume w**e kittens. Looking round I couldn't see strays that had wond**ed through the cave. My eyes then settled on a darkened corn** wh**e a memb** of staff sat. My day had just got a whole lot worse.
From the outline visible I guessed that und** the large check**ed blanket w**e cages, and from those cages w**e the sounds I really didn't want to h**e. As a sickness rose up inside ...
... Here in KL, the sex trade is much less noticeable and even street merchants give you your space. Since Malaysia is a muslim country the party scene is virtually non-existent. In fact, the more I think about it, KL is nothing like Bangkok.
My book was right about Bangsar, this place was pretty upbeat and trendy compared to the rest of the city. I found the restaurant then sat at a small table in front of the street and ordered a large ...
... so we avoided china towns accommodation, a little paranoid???…….. nope, a girl arrived at our guest house and asked us if it was ok as the place she was staying had bed bugs!
Melaka has just been given world heritage status, as it used to be a big trading port in its day and was in the process of improving some of it sights. The town has been heavily fought over between the 15th- 17th centuries due to its important trading location. It changed hands from ...
... it stops some rain and the sun but a **** load still pours in. We're stood in one shack when there's a huge flash of lightning and a massive smashing sound, everyone screams and points at the stall we're in (it's about 2.5m wide by 2.5m deep this 'stall') we stand still and then another smash right on top of our head. We instinctively hunch and cower, Cath goes out to have a look, the lady screams no, the other stall holders are still pointing at us, I'm just thinking 'not now ...
Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia danstravelworld... couldn't be bothered and had no mustache at all. They did some cowboy American line dancing to "Tell me Ma", an Irish folk song! hahah. Tom and I were right at the front of the queue to get into the park, so it seemed like they were doing the dance just for us, it was hilarious [Tom: I was so tempted to dance along]. One of the women was quite chubby, and she got tired really quickly, and started to forget the dancing routine; we assume she was new. I ...
