Even in the one tourist information place we found the staff would do anything (play with their mobile phones, talk to the other staff, stare out the window) than make eye-contact with you. Same deal in a bar we went to – as soon as the barmaid realised that we didn’t speak Russian she served everyone else until other customers dried up. experience! The arena was really amazing

... to the performance. It was a beautiful sight to behold.

After that, we made our way back to the cheap cafe for the most delicious burger ever made, nipped up to gostiny dvor to do a bit of shopping, and headed to the station to await our train. We boarded with no drama, and sorted ourselves out for bedtime.

Sorry for such a long entry, but it seemed like a long day!

... er det typisk plastret til med store reklameskilte.
Det lykkedes os dog at finde en restaurant, som serverede mad fra det japanske køkken.
Vi satte os ved et bord og fik et menukort. Heldigvis indeholdte menukortet
billeder, så vi i det mindste kunne se hvad vi ville bestille. Næste problem
var så, at servitricerne ikke turde tage mod vores bestilling i frygt for at
skulle ytre et angelsaksisk ord. Hver gang vi gjorde tegn til bestilling,
