NORWAY: Nothing to do...Why not travel?

A travel blog entry by brookealexandra on Oct 24, 2014

Since I am still impatiently waiting to start school, have already deep cleaned the apartment (more than once), and can't really find work for such a short period of time, my level of boredom has reached levels I previously thought impossible. Whether stemming from this boredom or in trying to find a feasible solution to my problem, I began …

... Way to go France! I must say in Canada, I would
rather watch a movie at home sprawled out on my couch where I can control the
volume and not have to pay an arm and a leg to sit in uncomfortable chairs,
being blown away by the ear piercing volume. Oh and this movie was relatively

... e cake and coffee. So we lunched on their verandah, with views to the mountains and the weather fine and warm! We reluctantly left and drove to Saint-Jean-Pied-du-Port, where we parked and joined the many tourists walking the town. It was Saturday and a fine, warm day. Again, there were quite a few hotels etc closed. We weren't sure if the one we then picked would be too extravagent, but it turned out good value for a recently renovated room in a beautiful old hotel. We then ...

      Gimont to Grisolles

A straightforward journey - mostly. I hate markets! And even more when you have to divert and turn 10.2m of Monty and Smartie in a small space. But we got past l'isle Jourdain and made our way to Grisolles. Easy aire to find once we negotiated the one way system in Grisolles. Good parking behind a community building with easy access to water and waste dump. We had a lot ...
