Arret d'une heure à St-Malo.

Cinq minutes après s'être stationné...il commence à pleuvoir. Mais jusqu'à là, ca allait.
Apres un certain temps, je réalise qu'il a un Énorme nuage d'une couleur douteuse qui approche un peu trop rapidement. 30 secondes apres avoir fait le commentaire, gros tonnerre et ca commence à tomber et même à grêler....

Fait du séjour à St-Malo...

... la chance de gouter à des moules pour la première fois de ma vie! Ce n’était pas si mal, je ne sais pas si je suis encore prête à en commander toute seule mais bon, c'est un début. Par contre, je crois que les huitres sont la vraie spécialité du Mont-St-Michel, mais encore là, c’est un fait à vérifier!

... the abbey there isn’t a whole lot to see at Mont St. Michel, it’s very touristy. We really lucked out with the weather this past weekend, it rained a little when we were walking around, but it definitely poured when we were driving. Someone was watching out for us.

Awoke early to freshly brewed coffee and cereal in bed - can't have eggs everyday! Kim convinced me to go for a run later today and not this morning - her reason she was hungry, but I think she was just being lazy :) Not 100% sure what lay ahead today as we had only planned as far as Vitre, which is said to revial Dinan in the mediavel town alure.

... s prices right now! Kim's Maison du Scooby came through with the goods again and produced a delicious Mussels Provincal and Oysters Kilpatrick for lunch. View was amazing as we parked at Pointe de Grouin and the blue waters of the Altantic shone in the background. The scenery around the Pointe reminded us a lot of Cornwall.

Taking the direct route for a change we drove onto Le Mont Saint Michel where had decided to stay for the night. We arrived just before sunset and secured a park at the start of the causeway in direct view of the Mont. I went out to take some photos in the last of the light while Kim prepared some nibbles and popped open a bottle of rose. Together we watched the sun go down and was rewarded by a be pretty red/pink sunset.
After dinner we went for a walk ...

... Mont St. Michel.  This place is awesome!  It's an all day trip, we'll get back home around 7pm, then probably get some local food and pass out.

... 9.45am and linked up with the 11.25 train. I was back in Paris by 1.30pm. 2.30pm I wasn't staying at the Friend's Hostel for the next 2 nights (thank goodness), I was staying back at the HI place that I had booked last time I was there. Not my favourite hostel but better than Friend's. I had to wait 30 mins as there is a lockout between 12-3 and there are no exceptions to that rule. In my room at 3pm and alseep by 3.10pm.
