Today is our last in rural France and it feels as if we have been living another life for the 10 days we have been here. Tomorrow we go to Paris on the TGV train in the morning! ... intention proved optimistic and it seems that the Castle fell to anyone who could muster a few mates and had the intention to take it.
The Castle was closed as we arrived at dusk but we wandered around the grounds and took some photos of the lovely old town that surrounded the castle.
Stayed in a Gite in a converted barn (circa 1400) run by a couple who met after severe car accidents.
Quiet local town with all relevant facilities and the compulsory church.
The coast has 14m tides which leads to massive aquaculture (>270 sq km) and a tide generator that supplies 1/2 the area.
Visit to Mont St Michel compulsory. Heaps of stairs. Cathedral not that impressive.
