Making a Start in Metz
... many). At the bars, we drank mainly Belgian beer (although I did mix that up with some French Ricard). And our main late night entertainment was a basement hookah bar - using real tobacco and sitting on worn-in pillows and couches. These joints have somehow been able to escape all the encroaching tobacco laws. While we didn't try it, we did stumble across Canada Venture, a restaurant that claims to specialize in Canadian cuisine! Maybe next time :)

France vs. Sweden
... of things including what the French think of Americans and vice versa. The more and more I speak with French people, the more I want to learn the language. After the football game was over we dId our French goodbyes (kiss on each cheek) and headed back to the residence. I love these opportunities in Metz where we can just talk to the everyday people and listen to their opinions and views. Still enjoying everyday here to its fullest and can't wait to see what tomorrow ...
