... and enjoying each other’s company, the tension was gone.
With Virginie I have always been pretty close and comfortable with her, but after last night at the fete du lumieres we became much closer. There were thousands of people and it was impossible to not get lost. So we held hands. We had to stay in partners for most of the night to not get lost and Virginie and I were together the whole time. So we were basically holding hands all night ...
Hello!
It's been a super busy week for me and I haven't done much uni work. Eeek! However, it was worth it. On Tuesday I flew to Lyon in France to stay with my friend Lis, who is doing an exchange at a university in Lyon. It's kind of like my exchange, but more hard-core, since she's taking classes on literature in french! I have to say, it was very handy having her french-speaking skills to get around the city. I stayed at her apartment, which she shares with another girl ...
... it be occasional so I enjoy it more. I am content with my life at home and unlike the last time in France, staying in has no negative affect on my language or social skills. Because with the family I can speak French and they have plenty of friends I love to spend time with anyway.
The last but not least update is in two weekends I am going to St. Tropez to visit the father of Michel, I am SOOSOSOSOSOSOSOS excited!!
Until next time,
Xoxoxo
... I am feeling great. I don’t know if that has anything to do with starting the meds that the Dr. prescribed for my poor little tummy or if it has everything to do with my boost in confidence for the way things have turned around. But my attitude has change completely and I wake up much happier and don’t sweat the small stuff as much as I usually do.
Though in the last blog I wrote about how in general I haven’t been sweating ...
... But I am convinced to keep my figure slim with the exception of a few pounds due to the changes in food I cant control. Today I went on a walk/run in the countryside to 1. Be healthy 2. Get out 3. Boost my endorphins 4. Take advantage of a rain free day 4. Boost my metabolism 5 burn some calories while I am at it. This was the first time I have worked out since February, which for me is insane. With ...
Lyon, Rhône-Alpes, France amberbogie... gave a big change to the film industry. I toured the house that the brothers lived in and it was gorgeous and huge and unbelievable. I had such a great time with Virginie and Julie.
****** part is that the next afternoon I got reprimanded for my attitude. Basically torn to shreds with words and I stood there speechless with nothing to say. For those of you who know me, you know that I ALWAYS ...
Recap
Last time I wrote I explained that I would tell about Beaujolais, the wine country that we went and visited. Well it was great. It was rolling hills covered in vineyards. No joke, it reminded me of the scenes from the movie French kiss with Meg Ryan, absolutely gorgeous of course. I will post pictures to see for yourself. We tasted great wines and there were over 100 students from 50 different countries. It ...
... for the French national TV. He has an angel voice (and face).
My friend Lionel, his wife Christel and one of their kids stayed with us for a week-end on their way to the French Riviera from Paris. Our friend Pascal who studied in Graduate School with Lionel and me came for lunch one day with his wife and kid. We had a great time catching up as the last time we had all been together was for ...
... we ducked into a cafe - in the touristy area but quite typical Lyonnaise. It turned out to be good timing again because although it was empty when we arrived, it soon filled up - in fact you couldn't have squeezed anyone else in - the tables were very close together and packed! The food was good - Owain had blood sausage with baked apple and I had steak and a potato dish. After we went to an amazing ice cream shop - Martin had been very keen to take ...
Lyon, Rhône-Alpes, France watchoutworld... you want to in centre ville you can move on. With me I had a map of Lyon that I had requested from the tourist board back in the states, and this map had a subway map. You can get around Lyon three different ways: you have the bus system, the metro or this high tech trolly. At first, I was planning to take the bus, but I wasn't sure which line was going to take me to centre ville and there wasn't a clear bus route map that matched with my city map showing where all the ...
