      ... the same time. There are place holders for the screens for each square. They used to use wooden blocks, but now they use screens.

      After that we got back on the bus and wound up in a HUGE traffic jam on the way to the Basilica of Fourviere, which is on the highest point (of course) in Lyon. The view was nice, supposedly we could see the office of Interpol, and across the river to Mont Blanc, the highest peak of the Alps in France.

      ... sessions in gardens each weekend, and we had stumbled across this one in the back of nowhere! We excitedly walked in, found a patch of grass to have our picnic lunch and wine. We felt very privileged, this wasn't a tourist event, it was something for the locals. Family groups were enjoying their lunches of baguettes, cherries & strawberries.       Hello again
      On Friday I left Paris by TGV (French for very fast train) and headed to Lyon.

      Lyon is a beautiful city with a central square, a hill overlooking the town and the rivers Rhone and Saone. From the lookout beside the basillica you can see Mont Blanc on a clear day - of course the day wasn't clear enough but the view was fantastic anyway.

      After a night in Lyon we cruised up the Saone river to Belleville in the Beajolais region of France. ...

      ... French (it's unrelated to whether the French person speaks English, I've met some lovely people who try to help me even if we only have three words and a lot of hand gestures to communicate with each other). I've lunched the the large square (Terreaux) near the Musee Des Beau-Arts Lyon, and head there after the salad. It turns out that entry is free here too (possibly my age?) which is a pretty awesome surprise. I head on in and discover there's no English ...
