E failed to get any lunch as we discovered that 11:11 is a bank holiday in France and everywhere was closed! So we arrived at the hotel at 5:00 pm and were starving! We checked in and the owner kindly provided us with pate and bread and a glass of red....perfect!

One of these days of travelling that is not that great but not that bad either. We took the tram to pick up the car, a funny snub nosed looking Renault, which wasn't that bad. Difficult to get out of Lyon though and the whole journey to our final destination fir the day was marred with wrong turns, uncertainties about direction and it just took for ever.
