      ... resistance people and Jews in Lyons, the French Resistance Centre, that were tortured and killed. Returned to the Place du Terreaux and made our way over the river back to the Lyon Vieu old town where we had a couple of beers at a pub and then a really delicious Lyons local fare at a delightful restaurant. At uni we touched on the subject of the Lumière brothers in a Francophone African Cinema module so it was really interesting to find out a bit more.       ... we were able to have this meal with just the Dartmouth students and two other english speaking exchange students who also live at Stuart's house. Even though I like speaking French, speaking English definitely makes the night more enjoyable. His mom even made us tarte aux pralines, a traditional Lyonnaise dessert.
