... about the day, albeit a little disappointed with French cycling infrastructure. Metz is a lovely city with lots of ancient buildings and structures. It also has a nice feel about it with a lot of traffic-free streets, cafés and restaurants. We had our normal post-ride wander and did a quick recon for tomorrow. We have two nights in Metz so plenty of time to explore tomorrow. Dinner at Le Pub (pseudo Irish) good beer & great ...

Oranges to the right, strawberries to the right, grapes and pears to the front and kiwis in the back! OH MY GOODNESS. The French Market is my absolute paradise. It's interesting that it's located across from the mall. You suddenly enter this beautiful abyss of fruits and veggies and forget that you're in a modern city. ... was wonderful. A chocolate chip muffin to be exact.

Now I am off to start studying for sociology. I am quite proud of myself because I can now read and understand the book in French! I am proud of myself. I mean I did read it in English already, but now I understand more. I'm in a good mood today to say the least. Now I'm having some tea and relaxing. Gosh I wish I didn't have anymore exams.

It's so difficult to find the motivation to study day after day. My ...

... all craving hearty milk with chocolate, as Jean had served us every morning while in Paris.

I grabbed a plate, a cup and a bowl and headed over to check out. Harlea went first, then Lina, and then I followed. The cashier marked the items so quickly, that I learned we have to ask for the bags before she's done registering everything, so we have time to bag our items, pay, and leave. We held up the line quite a bit... but at least we got groceries!!
