The trail we followed meandered around the base of the rock the chateau is built on, and the views were incredible. We snapped dozens - maybe hundreds - of pictures, most of which won't do the area justice. You kinda had to be there. ... was pretty huge, but we were only allowed access to certain areas. The most impressive part of the house was the grand garden entrance.

Ironically, just leaving the gates of the château we came across a French army recruitment event and a not so grand flea market. We had our fun however, picking up random knick-knacks and giant sour punch straw candies.

We had another lazy morning, but once up we got "ship shape" stowing things in their vacuum bags, hoovering and Isi sorted the food cupboards to check on what we need to use up to start running things down for the winter.
