We survived the Chunnel train ride, despite fears of it caving in. We arrived in fine form,as the train was quick and efficient. We arrived in Paris in 2.5 hrs at 186 mph. We took a cab to our hotel in an area of Paris, known as St Germaine. Our hotel was really cool, on the upper floor of an old hotel, on Bou St Germaine. It had an elevator that held one person with one large suitcase or toe people only. Very typical for Paris. The room was in the corner, just above ...

Our apartment lady suggested we go get a coffee or drink, so off we set, no map or anything to find somewhere out of the sun to sit. We did land upon a trattoria, who were happy to serve us drinks. By this stage of course Tony had a beer and I had a wine. We soon got the call to say she had arrived and to meet at the Hotel Damielli, which we ...

Around Paris with Andreas

Andreas had sent a really long email suggesting things for us to do. It goes without saying that we took heed and tried to follow his itinerary to the very last letter. We had a fantastic day full of activities. Left before ten and cane home at ten. What a day! Started the day with buying a one day pass on Velib, Paris's rental bikes. What a system. You unlock a bike at one station, use it as you please and lock it up wherever ...
