Another pastoral trip to Africa has begun. This one should last five and half weeks, although five days of it will be personal time. My itinerary should take me to Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Cameroon, the DRC, and Rwanda before I fly on to France for the Feast of Tabernacles. After the Feast I plan to take a few days with my daughters in Istanbul and then take care of a few more tasks in France before heading home.

I'm starting another trip to Africa. I was to have made this trip before the Feast of Tabernacles but the Air France pilots’ strike forced me to delay it. My flight to Paris was canceled a first time, and I rebooked two days later on the next available flight. But that flight was then cancelled also, making it impossible for me to be in the Congo when I needed to be, so the whole trip had to be pushed back.
