In the hope of getting out of the bad weather of Les Deux Alpes, we headed for our next stop near Lac De Paladru, unfortunately we didn't, if anything the weather was worse with almost constant rain for the 2days we stayed, we were still recovering from our bugs so we again spent most of our time in the van..

We took a couple of walks out in between the showers so again not much to report here....

Today it was raining cats and elephants at 5.30am, too bad I had committed to climbing my first Hors Cat mountain.

Off I set first up Col de Leschaux which is similar to the one in twenty ...

... was in excellent shape with a third of it newly paved, which gave me the confidence to get some good speed coming down and I actually passed a few cars on the way. It only took me half an hour to make it down and another 20 minutes to get into the town itself. The last kilometer was uphill...of course.

Connie passed me just outside of town and was at the hotel as I pulled in. We checked in and were guided to park the car in the closed in ...
