We sadly left Chamonix and vowed to return there in the winter, and drove to Annecy. Annecy was kind of a repeat of Prague, beautiful old city, on the water, with canals... we were kind of sick of that scene by then. They are applying to have the 2018 Olympics there, with the ski events at Mont Blanc. It would be a nice venue for sure.

... we were treated to a fabulous tour and wine tasting at the "Vincent Chappuis &amp; Fils" winery by our host, Christophe Chappuis. We had a nice tour of the wine cellar where some of the oak barrels are more than 300 years old! In the tasting room we saw a genealogy chart on the wall that showed this family's ancestral line back to the 1300's!!!!
