It was recommended that we visit Metz (pronounced Mess), a city in the heart of the Lorraine province on the Moselle River that has a satellite branch of Paris’ Centre de Pompidou. As we missed the galleries in Paris we decided to stop a few days in Metz and immerse ourselves in some culture.

I woke up at 9:30am and thought to myself, self you went to bed at almost 4am so you deserve to sleep a little longer. At 10:30am, I thought to myself, self just close your eyes for a few seconds and then get up. At 11:30, I realized that I should have gotten my butt out of bed at 10:30am so maybe I could get something accomplished today. Finally, when noon rolls around, I get ...

... then was a place that really deserved to be visited if not enjoyed.

My coming to the 3 Borders Country allowed me to first visit Metz on a rainy day of the late Spring and as I explored the City for the first time, I immediately fell in love with it, for its humane dimension, its beautiful historical and pedestrian centre which gives a permanent Holiday feel to the place with its many picturesques bistrots, cafés and ...
