    ... We ran into Maureen twice while walking around the shopping area.
    We did find the items we were wanted, along with a few used books from the charity shop and custard tarts from Teale's bakery - something Paul misses almost as much as fish and chips and pork pies.

    It may be a holiday for the school kids and government employees, but it evidently was not for the construction crew that woke us up early by unloading a truck of building materials at the neighbor's house at 7:00 this morning. So we were up early and had time to spend with Elaine and the boys, Drew and Aaron, before we had to leave for the airport.

    ... map and the excellent signage got us to the hire car depot where we left the car, got the free bus to the airport and picked up a transfer to our overnight hotel nearby. What a fabulous time we've had in England, both can't wait to return. The people have been so friendly, the food great, good weather, tolerant drivers, wish they were like that in adelaide!     ... to the Jorvik Viking Experience. (Jorvik was the Viking name for York.) Some of this was a little gimmicky and cheesy but there were some good parts including lots of artefacts and even some skeletons. It was interesting to learn about Viking life here – even if my feet were starting to feel the pressure!
