Bournemouth, England, United Kingdom teamjaliceBournemouth has a very funny layout.. the two main streets of the town go up both sides of the hills that lead down to the park and eventually to the famous Pier.

I was a bit down in the dumps this day.. I think because I was watching all the families and couples having some fun. It was mid term break so there were heaps of kids around and the entrance to the Pier was packed with amusements and ...
Bournemouth, England, United Kingdom sares12... is not really a speed demon, but the slower pace suits us fine as we are in no hurry... it also conserves fuel which is important considering the distance we will be covering over the next few months. So we don't really go faster than 50 mile/hr (80km/h for the aussies at home) and we avoid the motorways as there generally is ...
Lyme Regis, England, United Kingdom darrenhough74... we went into the club. Where they were just finishing off the kids club show. We had a three piece singing group and then two comedians. I think the entertainment startedabout 9 and went through till about 1. In the club they had a kids amusement centre, with pool tables, dance machines and arcade games.. we went through a lot of 2p coins than night!! I was really surprised at the amount of entertainment there. A lot of fun for a big kid like me!!
Poole, England, United Kingdom sares12... I went to the Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford, great few hours including a smashing lunch and back to Yeovil to pick up the ladies at the appointed time of 3.30 pm.

Tuesday dawned rather foggy and overcast, probably our worst day yet. Lona wanted to go to Lyme Regis to find a model dog for Kim. One time we were here before we bought her a Boxer, so this time Lona wanted Schnauzer, to no avail, there were none ...
Crewkerne, England, United Kingdom artell... erectors Karen & Eric who we had meet through Karen's support website Behind the Gray not even a year ago and oh how glad we were to know them and have them come visit, we would never have managed to get it up on our own, it would probably be at some refuse tip now!! So a huge "BIG THANK YOU" to Karen & Eric. To say the weather was bad would be a bit of an understatement but it was typical bank holiday weather rain rain and wind and yet ...
Wareham, Dorset, United Kingdom teamceri... to Max's place in Market Deeping (near Peterborough) stopping off at some shops so that I could purchase some super cheap clothes for work in Ireland. I can't remember exactly when we arrived at Max's parents place, but I have a feeling it was late afternoon, early evening. So I met the parents and we had a bit of time chatting to them! Max had work the next day, so it was an early night for us.
Weymouth, England, United Kingdom vhenschke... for our own kit and now we don't even need to construct plywood units ! That will save us a lot of effort and money. We also managed to snaffle two folding tables, 4 folding benches and some crockery and cutlery. With table cloths, we will now be able to have a sit down meal in the desert somewhere. I'll insist on dinner jackets and posh frocks. well, we can take an iron and ironing board now, so why not ? On the ...
Weymouth, United Kingdom spooky388... nearly 40 years!

We decide that rather than take our car again, we would go by rail. This would then compell us to continue by rail and other public transport methods. We chose to go on a Great Rail Journey with the company of the same name. Taking the Glacier Exprees package choice we set off for Waterloo Station in London, from our local station at Yeovil Junction early on a late June morning.

This is the story of that trip, its sights and its 'wonders' !!!
Yeovil, England, United Kingdom ankorjuglor... into my little shop and chatted about having lived in Switzerland and about what we had missed! He invited me to borrow his videos showing the Swiss Railways systems in all their glory. From then on we were compelled one day to go back !

So this is the travelog of our return to Switzerland after nearly 40 years!

We decide that rather than take our car again, we would go by rail ...
