      Arrived safely after a great flight from Australia. Traveled business class with Singapore and get 10/10 for service and great food. Transferred to Lufthansa and again good service but beds not as comfortable. First day just wandered around Manchester and got our bearings. Busy place and very industrial. Stayed at the Crowne Plaza and loved it very central just walked to everything. ...

      Then I fully expect myself to learn vipassana and not talk for days on end, hmmm added to it, I am going to silence my mind, which I imagine for me will be one of the hardest things that I've even done in my life!

      ... However when we got to Holmefirth there was sign telling us that the Holme-Moss road was closed. So a diversion via Greenfield was taken. This turned out to be a very scenic route, with lots of snow still evident on Saddleworth Moor etc. The rest of the journey to the airport was uneventful and Barbara dropped us off with plenty of time to spare.
