    ... Today Sissinghurst is also a working farm with cattle, sheep and pigs. The tower built in the 1560s has 78 steps to the top where you get some fabulous views of the gardens. The gardens were created in the 1930s by Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson. Sadly our visit is just a little late in the season so have missed the gardens in full bloom.....I can only imagine how fantastic this could be.
