More in hope than anticipation ...

A travel blog entry by jmcefalas on Nov 10, 2014

Thanks to the lovely @plaingoldband wending her way through America I was inspired to start this blog. The title is apposite. I love home, I love the sun streaming through the east window in the morning, I love the birds flitting across the window from hedgerow to hedgerow unconcerned by my presence. I love having the radio burbling in the background and being safe, secure and settled. But I have itchy feet. They have had a few random ...

As you could probably guess from the title of this entry, I went back to school last week. *plays sad music* In less depressing news, how is it in Australia? Nice and sunny and warm? How nice...because it's definitely not like that here. It's cold, and Christmas adverts flood the telly. If you think that it's too early for Christmas adverts, prepare yourself. About 12 years ago I became of aware of it in a general way. I ...

... and headed in that direction as it is an award winning restaurant. Looked like a nice place, continued driving without satnav and drove down several narrow lanes. After passing some amazing houses down the lower part of Painswick, including Kingsmill house, we arrived back at the cottage. Julie and Carol cooked a lovely meal of sausages, mashed potatoe, veggies, gravy and pork chops. A delicious feast enjoyed by all of ...

... but he was wearing fleece *ugh*.

Grabbed my crochet and paper from upstairs, fully intending to do something useful while watching TV with the ladies. I finished the headband, but sure if I'm going to add a flower to it although I did make one, tried sketching but failed massively. Sara's character sketches and map have inspired me. I need to do more history and character building. When will I ever have enough time for all this inspiration? Watched a lot of ...
