We have become fans of Indian food at the ‘Great Kathmandu’ just down the road. We are yet to venture into ‘The Curry Mile’ or what Geoff calls ‘Curry Vegas’.

... the gorge up the gorge” debacle followed by kilometres of what, bog? on top of a mountain?!! where the hell were we?!! Also, damn the reservoir where, having run out of water, Ryan requested that I wade in and try and get some water for boiling. Cold! Muddy! Undrinkable! Squidgy!

"Over the boulder, down the boulder, **** the boulder, **** THE BOULDER!!!"
There are some points where the paths are naturally made of boulders or large rocks, fine I'm on a mountain I get it. However one day we hit some hard going with a path covered in boulders which, after about twenty minutes, I noticed there weren’t any boulders OFF the path, only on it. A neat line of ******, leg-twisting boulders was ...
Well the day has finally arrived! The alarm was set for 6.00am but we were both awake before it went off. After a quick breakfast we were on the bike heading for a rendevous at Colin's house in Halling in the rain!
After a quick cup of tea, Leigh up turned on his Triumph Tiger and it was time to set off for the Marsden to meet Lyndsey & David & guess what it ...
Finally made it through my last working week in Brum, loose ends bar for one all tied up and had 2 amusing and fulfilling last days, but it feels so good to now be finished.
Thursday I was hitting a bit of a wall (some fatigue, some stress and needed some air) so headed out to the shops and came back with a can of diet coke (UK can which are the small size). Drank it quickly before my first afternoon patient and pow! I was off - a ...

Keeping this short, otherwise it will get VERY boring. More time for fun stories and escapades then! xox
... ritual which we got to watch. This particular ritual only happens once a year. There are three different rituals that happens around midsummer, at different points of the day. It was very interesting to watch. One minute, all you see are tourists snapping photo after photo in front of the structure, and then the next thing you know there is a big line of people dressed in long white cloaks walking towards the sacred stones. Some are carrying incense balls, while some are ...
Wiltshire, England, United Kingdom hammerheartWell, it has certainly been too long since last I've written! My apologies to anyone who actually expects/reads these updates. Where to start?? In the past month I have taken day trips to Cambridge, Stratford-upon-Avon, Castleton (in the Peak District where much of the new Pride and Prejudice was filmed), and Nottingham/Sherwood Forest. The trips to Stratford and Nottingham came with a set of unanticipated travel adventures including missing buses ...
Sheffield, United Kingdom mels87... Tried to go to the conference but ended up emptying my stomach in the street outside. Came back to my hotel and slept for a few hours. I'm now feeling pretty good, as I type. I had some hot chocolate and that perked me up. I haven't really eaten all day so I'm kind of weak! I hope everyone enjoys this -- it has cost me ten pounds which is not cheap! I'll try to update you again when I get to Dublin. I am definitelytaking a train to Liverpool for the ferry! I will try to put up some pics.
