    ... is a lovely old city which, like the surrounding countryside, goes back to Roman times and even earlier. There is a lot of English history associated with this region. The city is full of narrow, cobble-stoned streets, old buildings and Roman remains.     ... We flew kites and frisbees and some intrepid souls even went for a paddle in the icy sea! Then our luck ran out as we drove 10 miles south to Skegness to go on the fun fair, which took one and a half hours in traffic jams. After 3 trips on white knuckle rides, fish and chips and doughnuts, we were glad to leave the heaving masses of holidaymakers. A pub quiz awaits this ...

So burgers, Lincolnshire sausages and bacon baps in the sunshine while watching the Lancs ( one flown in specially from Canada - that must be a real trip - stopping in Northern Canada, Greenland and Iceland on the way) and the Vulcan taxi and take off.
