    Pretty lazy start to the day, and as the sun was shining decided just to go for a walk around the village. Pretty little place, the old village still has the village green and adjacent village hall. A couple of pubs, and we did a big loop around. Back for lunch and a quiet afternoon.     ... I have never seen her so besotted. The gift shop here got a big work out, including a carved running monk. We walk around to town full of Tudor style houses visiting New Place and Nashes House. I had seen a Time Team excavation of part of the back yard where it is believed the Bard built a house where there is now a garden.     Wednesday 14th: Weston to Trent Junction
    Trent Junction is a large expanse of water that we've crossed several times, coming out of the River Soar to the Trent & Mersey Canal but it was the first time we stopped for the night. What a lovely setting!
    It was exciting to finally arrive at the entrance to the River Trent, ready to venture into new territory in the morning.
