Today sees us leaving Witton Gilbert with Passports! Vicky took us to Durham Station and then we caught the train and bus to Manchester Airport! The whole journey went very smoothly, with the exception of lugging large cases up and down stairs at York but hey ho! Very early in Airport - 1hr before gate opened. Looking forward to being frisked by Si but he's in Teneriffe! Both well and now waiting for Gate to open and signing off for next ...
... cream. It was honestly a struggle to finish. The whole experience though was very worth it, as a fan of the Harry Potter series it was very interesting and entertaining. I returned to Shrewsbury on the train and Els and I went out for a few drinks. It started snowing as we walked home, but sadly it was all gone the next day. We lazed around, enjoying our last days of holidays before semester two starts and caught the train back to Hull on Sunday ...
... it was to other cathedrals we have seen. There wasn't much of the fine artwork on the ceilings and walls which made the stonework stand out tremendously. It was almost breath taking to think of the work that went into it. Fine detail and such interesting design elements. You could easily sit there for hours and be mesmerised.

Picked up the kids from school and told them they were off for their first set of Jabs. Nothing like a complete melt down in the playground. Emotions running high we met with the nurse, after mum and dad getting theirs it didn't make a scrap of difference it was a battle of wills.......we got there in the end. On leaving I advised the kids that they would be coming back for several more, im hoping that it will be easier 2nd, 3rd, 4th time round.
... dine, as well as places to get a drink. So to my family and friends: when I mention that I am heading to the bar to get food, I actually mean getting food. Theres actually a bar about a 100 feet from my block.
9. Which reminds me, dorms are actually called Blocks. So if your invited to a "Block Party" is has a completely different meaning in England then it would in the states.
