... We did visit a castle. Aydon Castle which had been lived in until the 1960s. Seems the Scots attacked a couple of times. The Romans were intimidated by the Scots (barbarians) also???

We leave Woodbridge and head to the coast visiting a couple of little towns along the way, Pretty scary roads but beautiful countryside. We make our way north and end up in Sunderland for the night which is on the coast. ... UK is not the same as in Australia. For a start the temperature was struggling to get into double figures and we were wearing all our cold weather clothes at once together with hats and scarves. The prices on the CC site are exactly double what we paid in Oz and even the cost of washing in their laundry machine was double. There are other differences which I will say more about later.

... through my boxes reveals no money and all I can think of is that I have left it all at home!!! What a plonker!!! Thank goodness for cards. Finally with not much going on I decide to simply relax in my cabin and fall asleep to the gentle rolling of the ship. Tomorrow;s plan is to head for the German town of Darmstad and stop off at my usual hotel in that city and then onwards to the Alps the following day. All I prey is that the weather gets better as I go. And that's about it for today ...
