And so this is the end of our little 'Highland Fling'. In total we have driven over 1630 miles, travelled by car, bus, plane, train and boat, taken 6500 photos (between us), visited over 100 unique places, covering everything from castles to stately homes, a distillery to a lighthouse and everything in between. Our favourite part has definitely been travelling around in the Highlands and seeing some stunning landscapes, this has only ...

... forest roads. We then moved out of the forest into two miles worth of peat bog, which on another day would have been very heavy going. We headed north pretty ...

We had a great night out at the pub and Lesley's husband, Dave (who is 6'8") and Jen's husband Terry, came along. We had another great chinwag about the family. All to soon it was past midnight and, "time for bed" said Zebedee! Our first real late night of the holiday. Ka kite ...

Today it was fair well to Edinburgh and indeed Scotland, but not before another fabulous breakfast in our lovely guesthouse. It was then off through the centre of Edinburgh, at rush hour no less, which made it perhaps a slightly slower journey but as it's such a beautiful city it was worth it. We headed along the coastal road and down to Berwick-Upon-Tweed and Dunbar, for quick photo stops of various harbours and stunning landscapes as we made our way south ...
